Hard Water Solutions in Pensacola, FL — What Really Works for ECUA Customers

Most Floridians brace for brutal hard water. The state sits atop one of the world's most productive limestone aquifer systems, and water picking up those dissolved minerals typically arrives at the tap registering 15-25 grains per gallon (GPG). Pensacola is a genuine exception. Escambia County Utilities Authority (ECUA) delivers municipal water testing at 4-8 GPG — soft enough that many hard water problems simply don't materialize here the way they do in Central or South Florida.

If PFAS is a concern near military installations, an RO system with activated carbon pre-stage is essential.
