But the finished water reaching Apollo Beach taps is treated groundwater with the typical Hillsborough County profile: 14 to 22 GPG hardness and chloramine disinfection.
Apollo Beach's coastal location creates a secondary consideration: private wells in low-lying areas near Tampa Bay and the adjacent bayous face saltwater intrusion risk.
