LG LT1000P Replacement Water Filter: Compatible Models, Part Numbers & Where to Buy
If your LG fridge is flashing the filter light or the ice has started tasting like the tap, you're looking for the LT1000P — one of the most common refrigerator filters in American kitchens. OEM vs. compatible: what actually matters
A quality compatible filter uses the same activated carbon block approach as the OEM cartridge to cut chlorine taste and odor, and seals into the same housing with no adapters. How to replace it
- Locate the filter in the upper-left interior of the fresh food compartment.
- Swing the filter cover down, rotate the old filter counterclockwise and pull it out.
- Insert the new filter, rotate clockwise until it locks, and close the cover.
- Run 2–3 gallons of water through the dispenser to flush carbon fines.
- Hold the filter reset button for about 3 seconds.
Never buy this filter at the last minute again

A note for Florida homes
